The Optimistic Pessimist

This is the first edition of our new site design and I hope it goes over well with our growing readership. I know it is growing by the number of hits we are sustaining, but there is little interaction going on and thus I urge all visitors to make this site a two-way street. If you find that this site has brought something to you, why not put something back.

That is what we at ARCHIdigm want, a site that is run by the people using it. We'll be the "architects" and janitors but the rooms are infinite. This is an opportunity to help build something "real". Real people using technology in real situations with real problems and the need for real solutions. We are not corporate driven, sponsored and in any other way coerced by product manufacturers - we are, first and foremost, users of the tools and always looking for improvements.

So this is our latest WEBsite design: a cross between an e-zine and self-promotion all wrapped up in a virtual building. What should a site about CAD, particularly AutoCAD, be like for those in the architectural industry? What would you do?

If you have a site or know of one that you believe to be excellent, pass it on to the rest of us who are always interested in how this emerging medium will be utilized by the architectural community.
